Are we dancing with the Devil? Politics in America

Religion & Politics have always had a strange relationship. Although many different religions are represented in the United States, we have long been thought of and referred to as a "Christian" nation. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Not only has this nation, but, most of the world in general have turned away from God. In a country where all of our currency is stamped with “In God We Trust” we are not allowed to say “One Nation, UNDER GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all” when we pledge to our flag. We are not allowed to pray in school, or have a copy of the Ten Commandments in a Government building. That is where the confusion starts with Religion & Politics. On Sept. 11, 2001 a great tragedy happened in the United States. Afterward our President, Congress, even the media were praying out in the open, singing “God Bless America” and were united in a cause the likes of which had not been seen since the days of WWII. Isn’t it a shame that it takes something like that for it to be acceptable to pray in public. Every Politician in our Government will and has at every instance that is beneficial to them, shouted at the top of their lungs, “GOD Bless you, and GOD Bless the United States of America”, yet many of them don’t have a personal relationship with God, and some don’t even believe he exists. Another one of the many twists and turns in Religion & Politics. It is extremely hypocritical to use the name of God to get elected, or to get people to vote a certain way, when our own Government, the ones that are shouting these words, are the same people that don’t allow us the freedom to pray in schools because we might offend some of the non-christian voters that elected them. If you want to see the degradation that plagues this country today, all you have to do is turn on your television. Homosexuality, pre-marital sex, having children out of wed-lock, drug use, these are just some of the topics that our kids are force-fed every single day, like they are a part of normal everyday life in America. Made light of to desensitize and dilute our youngsters into thinking it is no big deal. Our acceptance of these immoral subjects, as christians, under the guise of freedom of expression is the single biggest slap in the face to a so-called "Christian" nation.

Now I know this section of my site is going to seem a bit controversial to say the least. But it is time as Christians we call a "spade a spade". The United States as a whole is closer to being "Sodom and Gomorra" than a nation of God. Not to mention the fact that we seem to think that someone elected us as the "WHOLE WORLD POLICE DEPARTMENT". If that happened, I sure didn’t see that story on the Evening News. Hear me again people it is time to call a "spade a spade". We have children starving right here, right now, we have an AIDS problem right here, right now, we have homeless people right here, right now, we have a need for money to be spent right here, right now! Wake up people, until we can solve the problems in our OWN back yard, who are we to try to take on solving the problems of the rest of the world. It is time to start to heal our own nation before taking on the problems of some other nation. Have you ever even stopped to think that if we spent 1/10 of the money here at home on the Katrina victims as we do in Iraq every month, we could have rebuilt nearly every single person’s house by now. It is definitely time to call a "spade a spade".

And while I am on the subject of the money we are spending in Iraq, why aren’t we using the money from their oil sales to refinance the rebuilding of their country and pay for our expenses and Military being over there? Doesn’t the old saying go, “to the VICTOR belong the spoils, or in this case oil”? Why are we bankrupting our own country to rebuild their’s? Well on this page we are going to discuss these as well as other topics. So grab hold, hang on, and let’s get started with this tangled mess between Religion and Politics. We will discuss the two major players in this game, the Democrats (or Left) and the Republicans (or Right). Who is right? Maybe neither!
