From Creation to the birth of Jesus in the Old Testament

The Old Testament is divided into five different sections. The first section is called the "Pentateuch" or "Torah". It is the first five books of the Bible from Genesis to Deuteronomy. The second of the sections are the "Historical Books". This section covers from Joshua to Esther. Although the first five books are technically "history" books to they have their own sub-heading. The third section is called the "Wisdom" books. These include two books that proved to be very comforting to me in the Military. I carried a small condensed Bible that contained Psalms and Proverbs After the wisdom books is the fourth division also called the "Major Prophets". This is the shortest of all the sections covering only three books which are Isaiah , Jeremiah, and Lamentations. And last but not least we have the fifth and final section called the "Minor Prophets". This section covers the remaining books from Hosea to Malachi We will discuss each of these sections in depth. Bringing a new understanding of key passages and a better understanding of what Christian life was like before Christ was born. From Creation to the Great Flood to the Exodus and many many more of the most riveting stories ever told. At the end of our journey through the Old Testament you will be ready to participate in or even lead any discussion group at your local Church.
